So in class just now we watched some videos about the Hiroshima atomic bombing. Nearly cried, and listening to nobody, not even the rain by la dispute brought me even closer to tears.
Pretty much, The americans dropped an atomic bomb onto a city called Hiroshima at 8:50 am on August 6th 1945. The heat from the bomb was so intense that it boiled off internal organs in a 1/4 of a second! 80 000 people died from the bomb in the first day and 140 000 over the year. Plus 60 000 buildings were destroyed. All this happened in the first three seconds of the bombing. Then three days later another bomb was dropped in a place called Nagasaki killing another 70 000 people!! So overall, 290 000 people died from these bombings in ONE year. Absolutely devastatig, made me feel sick. What kind of a person could possibly do that?!
